As shepherds sat in darkness one night an angelic message came to them proclaiming that Jesus had been born in Bethlehem. In much the same way, the world still sits in darkness, desperate to hear good tidings of great joy. As we look at Luke 2:1-16 this Christmas Eve may we rejoice that Jesus, light of the world, has come to illuminate our darkness and bring us our salvation.
