Nearing the end of his life in Numbers 31 and 32, Moses is commanded to take vengeance upon the Midianites and then must deal with tribes requesting to settle on the other side of the Jordan River. In this we are reminded that there is a spiritual battle being waged in our midst and we must follow God with our whole hearts to be victorious.
