As Solomon officially dedicates the new temple in 1 Kings 8:12-60 he offers a prayer that looks back at how far they’ve come and forward to what will happen if they fall into sin. As we look at the prayer with the benefit of hindsight we see God keeping His word and doing exactly what He says He will do.
