Sin For A Season

Job 20:4-5

Zophar makes the statement in Job 20:4-5 that sinners only prosper for a season. While this doesn’t directly apply to Job’s present situation, Zophar is technically correct in what he said. As we consider both the immediate and long-term results of sin we see that things might be okay for a time, but eventually we will become ensnared to it and reap grievous consequences.
