In this week’s study we looked at the beginning of Elijah’s ministry. Living in the dark days of King Ahab’s reign, Elijah is sent to a Gentile widow, living in a pagan land. We were able to trace the Lord’s loving hand in the extraordinary way He brought the woman to faith. This powerful story allowed us to discover many applications for our lives as well, as we were challenged to view human circumstances through the lens of God’s loving, eternal purposes.
